Faces Against Window

01

School aged children initiative

At Apex Affect, we believe that access to basic hair care essentials shouldn't be a barrier to a student's success in school. Bullying and insecurities can be incredibly damaging to a child's self-esteem, and we want to do our part to help. That's why we provide convenient access to hair care essentials directly to schools, so that children and their families can easily access the things they need to feel confident and ready to learn. We are passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential and will continue to work tirelessly to make a positive impact in the lives of our community's children.

02

Haircare Services

Hair discrimination has no place in our society, and that's why we're passionate about our Hair Services project. By providing access to free and affordable hair styling services, we're making a meaningful difference in the lives of many. Our work is about more than just hair – it's about confidence, self-esteem, and empowerment. Learn more about our recent projects and join us in the fight against hair discrimination.

Accessibility and Special Services Support

Our Hair Care program is designed to provide an added layer of care and privacy for those with specific health and circumstances that have ultimately affected their hair. We partner with stylists, barbers and salons that are equipped to provide a comfortable and confidential experience.

People that benefit from this project experience some of the following:

  • hair loss from depression, chemo, alopecia, or some other causes

  • physical restrictions and require additional assistance to obtain services

  • autism, special needs, and specific conditions that make getting their hair done complicated

  • adoption, foster care, and varied living arrangements where the caregiver needs assistance

  • caretakers who primarily care for others and have neglected caring for themselves

  • formerly incarcerated and getting a fresh start

  • All forms of special circumstances...the list goes on and on
